HOFA and Kreation are proud to present 'Beyond the Screen', an immersive exhibition featuring nine boundary-pushing works of renowned and emerging AI and digital artists. The exhibition will launch at HOFA Gallery in London's Mayfair on 5 May 2023.
Valued at $2 million, the artworks curated for 'Beyond the Screen' offer visitors an exploration of the endless possibilities that emerge from the intersection of art and technology, transforming the contemporary art world. The featured artists, including XCOPY, Orkhan, OSF, DeeKay, Gavin Sharpio, Cath Simard, Alpha Centauri Kid, 25m42, and Ivona Tau, are at the forefront of digital and AI art, pushing the boundaries of what is possible in this constantly evolving field.
“The global digital art market is expected to reach $8.5 billion by 2023, and the AI art market is expected to grow to $1.8 billion by 2026, which presents significant opportunities, but also challenges for the roles of technology, originality and authorship, ethics and social implications, and artistic expression and aesthetics" says Elio D’Anna, co-founder of HOFA and Kreation. HOFA and Kreation have experienced a 700% increase in the number of new AI and digital art collectors since 2022, and industry research also shows that the majority of art collectors see digital art dominating in the next five years, with 56% of them believing that digital art holds as much monetary value as physical art (Source: Nasdaq).
Headlining the exhibition is the critically acclaimed digital artist XCOPY, whose works often reflect on the impact of technology on society and made one of the highest digital art sales in 2021 with 'A Coin for the Ferryman' for $6.02 million (1330 EHT) (Source: credible source). Orkhan, known for his innovative use of AI to create mesmerising generative art based on his Eastern heritage and culture, has exhibited at prestigious shows such as the Venice Contemporary Art Biennale, and recent sold ‘XXXXXX’ for $XXX (XXXX EHT)
Ovie Faruq, known more commonly as digital artist OSF, is a former Barclays position trader recently became the highest selling lot at Sotheby's Digital auction. OSF, co-curator and participant of the forthcoming 'Beyond the Screens', says, "I believe the fusion of human creativity with cutting-edge technology is revolutionising the art world. This exhibition serves as a platform to showcase the limitless potential of AI and digital art and how they are shaping the future of contemporary art."
